When wireless connectivity was earliest introduced, men and women with hearing loss, for the very first time, were able to stream sound directly from cell phones to their hearing devices — opening a globe of simple communication that had previously been off limits for them. But there were limitations when it came to steaming sound from TVs and existing land line phones.

These limitations made a number of good quality of life challenges for patients and their families. Adult youngsters who are concerned that a hearing impaired parent’s difficulty speaking about the cell phone makes it impossible to check in on their well being and safety in the course of the day can utilize this technologies now. We have observed that a patient’s require to turn the volume from the television so loud that it drove other people out of the room can be a recurring source of frustration for many families. Hearing Aid Insurance For Arkansas Residents

Posted on June 2nd, 2010 in Hearing Aids by admin

One of the most frequently asked questions we get concerns hearing aid insurance. Most people want to know if there is some sort of insurance that covers hearing aids or hearing exams. We want to tell you about a company we recommend called CareCredit.

CareCredit is a service that helps those with hearing loss start care immediately by providing a hearing aid credit card option. It isn’t actually hearing aid insurance, but helps you get the care you need now, by providing the credit and funds to get you started immediately. They offer low minimum monthly payments, and takes only minutes to apply. Here is a bit about them.

Essentially they have two types of plans:

  • No Interest if Paid in Full with 6, 12, 18 or 24 months
  • 14.90% APR & Fixed Minimum Monthly Payments for 24, 36, 48 or 60 months

The first must be on purchased with your CareCredit card. Interest will be charged to your account from the purchase date if the promotional balance, including optional charges, is not paid in full within 6, 12, or 24 months or if you make a late payment. Minimum monthly payments are required.

The latter is for purchases of $1,000 or more (24, 36 or 48 months) or $2,500 or more (60 months) with your CareCredit card. Accounts at penalty APR ineligible for reduced APR. Fixed monthly payments required. Penalty APR may apply if you make a late payment.

One of the really great things about this service is that you can apply while you are here for a visit and typically get an answer right away.

If you go with the no interest payment plan, there will be no interest at all if you pay at least the minimum monthly payments on time and it is paid off in full by the end of the 6 Month, 12 Month or 18 Month period.

The second plan provides more time to pay where the payments are a fixed rate and include the interest. The interest rate is 14.9%.

If you want to know more about this service, simply ask for a brochure or application when you are in for your next visit, or stop by and pick one up.
